Hi everyone and thanks for any help in advance. I've installed the firewall client on a few machines in my company. It is great for pointing internet browsers to the isa server, but what about other applications? I've got this one application that uses lets say port 1234, how would I configure the client to go to the isaserver. Or is possible to configure the applicaiton another way. Thanks!

Hi seant421, what do you mean? The Firewall client should 'redirect' non-web requests to the ISA server by default! So, you don't need any change in the application itself. HTH, Stefaan

Ok, I see what you mean. I was under the impression that the settings to were sitting on the client computer and not the host computer. I have one more question though. In the ISA server, I am trying to redirect an application under the firewall client settings. Right now I have it set at RemoteBindTCPports but it doesn't work. Is there a better setting so that the clients will direct the traffic of this applicaiton. Thanks!

Hi seant421, why are you making an application entry under the firewall client settings? I never have to do that so far! HTH, Stefaan

I guess I may be doing the wrong thing then. Basically, I've got a client computer running windows firewall client and connecting to an isa server 2006. There is an app on the client computer which I want to go through the ISA server, simililar to the way http goes through port 80 and to the isa server. I'm not sure what I need to do to make this happen. Thanks again for any help :D

Hi seant421, you just need to create an access rule in the firewall policy allowing: - the protocol used by that application - to any or some destinations of your choice - for all users (that means anonymous access) or a certain Windows user group membership (that mean authenticated access). HTH, Stefaan
