One problem I have with ISA is that when I have a bunch of publishing rules, it's a pain to find out which external IP address I have a rule published to, without opening all of the rules one at a time and selecting the Networks tab to see which one was selected. I've gone through the management console, and can't find a column to add to the Firewall Policy to show me the Networks number. I have a document that I update by hand whenever I change a rule, but there are other people who change rules, and don't always update the document. So, I figured that I could get it out of the export, since under 2000 the rules export was pretty readable, and I'd run an export ever month or so and update my documentation. However, 2004 gives me an XML file, which I can read, but I can't really parse it easily to find out which IP address goes with which rule. So, does anyone know how to get htis information without hacking apart the XML by hand, or opening up each rule one at a time? Any ideas? Thanks, R

Use the ISAInfo XML reader.

Thanks, that did it - now if only it could print, or dump to something I could print from, by doing an Expand All on all of the sections. But at least I have the information in a parsable form. R

OK, I read one of your other posts - how'd you hack the right-click handler out? barring that being useful to me, how do you copy and paste? I don't appear to be able to grab anything when I try. Thanks, R

Search and destroy the function and the call to it. * ShowInfo() * Displays ISAInfo basic information when the user r-clicks anything
