Hi Folks,

This may seem like a stupid question..... but there it goes. Is there any way to get file access to our server files and execute some kind of login script WITHOUT having to attach a laptop to the domain.

After creating a simple VPN connection on an XP SP2 laptop, you can install network printers. I was wondering if I could just add and map network drives as well without having to may the laptop part of the domain.

My goal is really to make our laptops very independant from the desktops and not have them heavily tethered, like we currently have with Roaming Profiles, Desktop, and My Documents folders.
