Hi all, First of all, Let me introduce myself first. I'm from myanmar (burma). at my work (internet cafe), I've two ADSL internet connection (Donwstream : 512Kbps, Upstream : 256Kbps) Now, i'm using two isa server for each line seperately. i want to combine these line for outbound and inbound load balancing.
Is this possible ? if yes, which type of hardware or isa configuration do i need ? my compaq server have four broadcom NIC with teaming and failover function. can i use this function to combine ?
all helps and advices will be appreciated thanks in advance
Dear Steve and paulo.oliveira We all in myanmar can get only 512Kbps ADSL line becasue of our junta's ISP. so, i bought 2 line and tried to combine to get double bandwidth with NIC Teaming function and ISA Server 2006. but, it doesn't work well. Pls help me
If I not mistaken, Team NICs doesn´t work very well with ISA...
I´ve seen too many people complain about this before... or this issue only happens with ISA EE+NLB?
Hi Steve So, you mean, i need dual wan router. yes ? if i have two seperated ISA Server, can i combine these two line without dual wan router ? my lines are the followings. 1st line ip address : 172.24.xx.xxx subnet mask : 255.255.254.0 gateway : 172.24.44.1 2nd line ip address : 172.24.xx.xxx subnet mask : 255.255.254.0 gateway : 172.24.44.1
Hi There is no way around it. You need a hardware solution.
Yep, as Steve said. Google for outbound load balancing, inbound load balancing, for example, you will get many results for various products, vendors and the way they accomplish the load balancing, what features they offer... Say: http://www.xincom.com/twinwan.php Also you may find some reviews/tests for various products. Looking at your IP addresses and DGWs, it looks like you use two Internet connections from the same ISP. That does not sound very good in respect with the failover idea. Adrian
