Hi,
I have installed and configured ISA2K4 and actually i'm real happy with it, even if it is still beta.
Though, I have a problem.
When I set my browser to autodetect proxy settings, some sites are displayed correctly (like microsoft.com) but some are not (like isaserver.org; sorry Tom ).
Sites that don't work may give nothing (just a blank 404 page from IE) or something else. On several of the pages I've seen a short explanation that states to http/1.1. So I have to use http/1.1. I think somehow ISA2K4 uses http/1.0 on them?
However, if I enter my ISA proxy manually all pages are displayed correctly.
ISA is configured to route to my ISP's upstream proxy. Port 80 is blocked by my ISP; I use 8080 to my ISP's proxy.
Any idea how to fix this?
FYI, I've configured wpad settings in DNS and DHCP.
Thanks in advance! Beboen

Hi Beboen,
ISA 2004 forwards Web Proxy requests as 1.1. You should always set the browser to use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections, too.

Hey Tom,
Thanks a lot for the tip.
Though, I still have some questions: 1. How come I don't have to enable "use http/1.1 through proxy" when I use a fixed proxy config - either from ISA2K4 or my ISP's proxy? 2. How come if I use auto detect with my ISP's proxy I don't have to enable the "use http/1.1 through proxy" setting?
Brgds, Beboen
PS: -this might be helpful regarding my quesitons- My ISP obliges me to use a proxy because I can't use port 80 by meself.

Hi Beboen,
The setting is on the client side, so you have to do it in Internet Explorer.

Hey Tom,
Yes, I'm talking about the client side. So again: 1. How come I don't have to enable "use http/1.1 through proxy" when in IE I use a fixed proxy config - either from ISA2K4 or my ISP's proxy? 2. How come if I use auto detect in IE with my ISP's proxy I don't have to enable the "use http/1.1 through proxy" setting?
Thanks in advance, Beboen
