Hello,

Is there a way to import directly (with a script) the groups from a AD into the list of the user sets?

Thanks in advance,
Luc

If you have that many Groups to add to the user set that you even think that you need this,...then you are already approaching it wrong.

Create a new AD Group for this purpose
Add AD Users or Groups to this new Group
Add the new Group to the User Set

There should only be a small number of Groups addeed to a User Set.  It needs to be kept "managable".

Sorry that I didn’t describe the situation better.

It’s a school situation. I have 27 groups with each 20 members. We have also 10 computer classes. When a group enters the class, I like that the responsible (teacher) can turn the Internet on or off.

For each class I make a content rule with access (http, https + filtering) and the responsible can turn the rule on or off with a script. This method has the advantage that the services don’t need to restart, so the other classes can continue their work without discontinuance.

For the content rules I make one and then I copy it. I change the name, but then I have to enter the new users set, and for that I have first to make a new set by importing the group from the AD. So, if I could entering the groups in the users set with a script it could be helpful.

May be there is an other method to do it? But I don’t want to give the teachers administrator rights on the AD.

Ok

I don't think I would have any idea how to deal with something like that.
