Im testing ISA 2004. I read the "get up and running with ISA s 2004 beta2" by Tom. I followed this article but I am still unable to connect to the net. If I remove ISA, I can connect.
My enviroment is two computers ISA box (2003 server) and a laptop. I just have this in a workgroup.

In 2000 ISA we had to configure the inbound listening requests. and then on the client side you would configure IE to hit that address and that specific port. Do you not have to do this anymore?

Hi Help,

How does your setup vary from the setup in the Getting Started article?

Thanks!
Tom

I followed it exactly.

Equipment - 1 server with 2 nics a hub and a laptop.

Software - Server 2003 in a workgroup, an XP pro laptop.

Ip address scheme is the same as your enviroment, except for outside NIC.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi Help,

What's the difference between the setup in the article and your external interface?

Thanks!
Tom

hey you need to configure the listener still :

in the network properties ( internal network )

Kind regards,
Lex Penrose

check for listener activity with :

c:\>netstat -a -n

look for port 8080 ( standard )

Hi Lex,

The listener will help for machines configured as Web Proxy clients, but the HTTP Web Proxy filter should pass SecureNAT and Firewall client requests to the Web cache and allow outbound HTTP without enabling the Internal Network Web listener.

Thanks!
Tom
