I have two simple questions that I need answering, due to the search facility not working I have not been able to search for answers.

I need to install ISA so that it allows the filering of http requests on a user/group basis and caches requests;

Do I need to install ISA as just a caching server or as an itergrated firewall / caching server?

Secondly do is ISA capable of applying access rules based on groups from an NT4 domain whent the ISA is setup as a single standalone server?

Many thanks in advance

Hi Simon,

Install ISA Server in integrated mode to take advantage of all the features ISA Server has to offer.

If the stand-alone ISA Server is a member of a Windows NT domain, it can use the SAM accounts to exert user/group based access controls.

HTH,
Tom
