Hello,

I'm new to ISA and to Firewall/Proxy-configuration in general and I hope to get some answers here.

I have a LAN with IP-range 192.168.0.x
In this LAN is a server (Win2k with DNS, AD and ISA). IP-Address 192.168.0.1
This server has a secondary network-card, configured 10.0.0.2, connected to an ISDN-router with address 10.0.0.1

Schematically:

LAN - (192.168.0.1 SERVER 10.0.0.2) - ROUTER - WWW

What would be the best way to configure ISA?
Right now I have all ports opened and I configured ISA to serve clients in 192.168.0.x
Applications I use:
WinMX
ICQ
mIRC
Outlook (pop3/smtp)
IE

Telling me which articles I should read would already be of great help!

Hi Bart,

You just need to create protocol rules to allow the protocols you require. For interface configuration, check out my article on simple network configuration at www.isaserver.org/shinder and Jim's article over in his section.

HTH,
Tom
