I have two locations connecting via ISAservers. I followed the instructions you put out for a L2TP VPN connection. When I set up the Cert Authority all of a sudden my clients lose connectivity to the server. Ping responces are

Negotiating IP Security

This happens speratically throughout the network. I can ping one server successfully and then turn around a few minutes later and ping again getting the previous message on all four responces. Do all my machines have to get Certs from the Enterprise CA? Is it something I am overlooking? The DC is Win2k3. ISA is running on Win2k. All Clients are 2k pro. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi C,

Is this a gateway to gateway VPN connection?

Thanks!
Tom

Yes. This is a Gateway to Gateway VPN. Both are running ISAServer 2000. I tried putting them back to back, connected by crossover cable, and still got nowhere. Neither was even able to ping the other. I am lost.

I have tried everything and they wont even recognized each other. I have put them on the same ip address range. Using the same subnet. Pings return as unreachable. Just as RRAS returns. I am completely lost.

Hi Cl33nSw33p,

Did you run the local and remote VPN Wizards?

Thanks!
Tom
