A lot of questions come up about what the ISA Security Wizard does. The Wizard just applies a predefined security template which is included with Win2k Server products.
The Security Templates are sort of handy, but you have to spent quite a bit of time going over each component of the templates using the Security Templates and Security Configuration and Analysis snap-in's.
The problem is that a lot of undocumented strangeness takes place after applying the templates. Some things that have been noted by others who had the misfortunate of applying security templates:
**Cannot open RRAS Console!
**Scheduled Content Download no long works!
**Reports do not appear!
**Can Browse Network!
**Local Administrator cannot log on!
**Cannot Refresh Alerts in ISA Management console!
...and a host of others.
So, proceed with great caution before running the Security Wizard.
