hey guys .. havnt read every thing u ppl chatted abt but it seems like u r trying to block applications..
simple method that comes to mind is block the application exe.. but that can be renamed..
another way is via GPO .. generate the hash value of that exe lets say MSN 7.0 and ad that to a deny policy .. sounds cool .. but u have to do some R&D to figure it out.. i picked that tip on a MS2003Srv workshop.
do le me know if u figured it out.. ill try n do the same..

hello jahanzaid .. how r u..dear i want to ask u that i have make these all rules but still its not working. plaese tell me 1 more thing..when we mentioned port # next to it there is a remote port option should i give it also same port or select all ports.. please help me i cant connect voice conversation on clients Pcs.

I work with isa server 2004. whenever my isa server routes directly packets to destination,clients' yahoo messenger does not work. but if I change the "network relationship" in "internet access network rule" to NAT ,the problem does not occur. it seems i have no firewall problem on yahoo messenger port,because it works using direcet route. would u please help me?

I work with isa server 2004 for the purpose of caching and i have a strange problem now. whenever my isa server routes directly packets to destination,clients' yahoo messenger does not work. or works for 1 or 2 hours. but if I change the "network relationship" in "internet access network rule" to NAT ,the problem does not occur. it seems i have no firewall problem on yahoo messenger port,because it works using NAT correctly. how can i use ROUTING? would you please help me?
