Hi

Hope this will fix it for thoose who can not access the in-game server list, even though you have tried opening all port there is.

Try and disable ALL "site and content rules" EXCEPT the default "Allow Rule".
I know i might sound wierd but it will work.
Has to do with the incoming UDP replys that gets checked against site and content rules. This will also solve the BF1942 in-game server list.

Besides that made the following protocol rules.
(this for playing on internet only, not hosting)
tcp outbound 20045 (used for soldier logon)
tcp outbound 28900 (used for getting server list...I think)
udp send/recive 1717 (used for getting info on different servers)
udp send/recive 1716 (used for playing game)
udp send/recive 1718 (dont know, but forgot to remove when testing)

Armericas Army also surgest udp 27900 but dont know what its for.
8777 they also mention, but only for LAN games ie not internet games. (8777 is detination port but it always sends from port 9777)

Sorry, if some info might be incorrect but I HAD to share it (the disable site & content rules thingy)

This should work both for firewall clients and SNat clients.

go to google and type in "forward observer" that program was designed specifically to let you play through any firewall or ISA. try it. it should work. it works for me and i am on a military network.

I fail to see how this "server browser" can open up ports on a firewall/ISA server or "bypass" it so the game will work. All indications point to the firewall not blocking the ports that AAO uses.
