I have been having trouble getting this game to work under ISA Server for some time. here are my settings 1. UDP PORT 14567 Receive Send <---This must be first, this IS the primary port to open! 2. UDP Port 14567 Send Recieve 3. UDP Port 14690 Receive Send 4. UDP Port 14690 Send Receive 5. UDP 23000-23009 Send Receive 6. UDP 23000-23009 Receive Send 7. TCP 28900 Outbound 8. TCP 28900 Inbound
I can not see the server list at all. i was wondering what is wrong with this and would appreciate any help from anybody who has gotten this working. If i get it working i wil surely post how i did it. Also, all these ports are in one protocal definition. Thanks in advance, Doomsday
The BF1942 settings you have configured are identical to the way I have mine set up. I just think you need to configure the GameSpy Arcade settings, like I have, in order to see the server list. Good luck!
I think your having the same trouble I am getting MOH Spearhead to work thru ISA. It times out while 'Querying Servers'. cgrace notes that he has the Firewall Client installed. Well it works fine if I install the firewall client, but that is not what I want.. I need the S-NAT client setup. The only diff that I can see between the two is that the FW client can access any Winsock protocol, whether or not a protocol definition exists. SN clients need the Protocol Def and a rule to implement it. I have tried the Gamespy configuration that cgrace has suggested and its a no-go. I imagine some definition is incomplete or incorrect.
In my previously mentioned thread, there was one port number that I had missed in my GSA configuration that someone pointed out near the bottom of the messages. It fixed the problem with querying servers.
I've never tried it in a S-NAT environment, since the FW client works fine for me. Then again, it's on my home office LAN and I only have two computers connected to the ISA server, so administration / security on the LAN isn't a big issue.
