I am trying to do some testing with my company's software to see how it operates on various firewalls. ISA is the first one I've come across that I can't figure out. How can I open up a range of ports--in this case 8190-9215 outbound--and allow inbound on random ports? I have created Protocol definitions, IP Packet Filters and neither worked. Please don't tell me to open up 1024 ports, I'd have to create an IP Packet filter for each of them. :-(
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated
Corey

Well, not to whinge, but this is kinda off topic...try the server publishing forum for a better response.

However...this cant be done easily outbound, but depends on the application.

If the app has a primary port it connect on (say 1234 outbound etc) then you can set a definition to contain a port range as secondary connections.

To open random inbound ports (i take it you mean all ports?) just set the packet filter to "All" on the local port (inbound) section.
