When I click on the gatekeeper server which is the name of the local machine (ISA) I get the error: Unable to access the gatekeeper server: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this gatekeeper server. Only members of the local administrators ... I never saw this before until I installed SP2. The H.323 Filter is enabled but I can't seem to figure out what is going on..Any help is appreciated. Sam

Good day,
My recommendation would be to make a backup of the machine then remove the Gatekeeper component and then read the component, this should reregister the object.
Thank you for your prompt response! I deleted the gatekeeper from the ISA mmc and added it again but that didn't work. How do you remove the gatekeeper component? I tried to change the ISA installation through the control panel but that does not list the gatekeeper. Thank you, Sam
FYI Removing the H.323 gatekeeper component and installing it back did not resolve the problem. I still have a a red disabled icon on the H.323 gatekeeper server.
I completed the os latest Microsoft software update. ISA has been previously updated with SP2 but that didn't fix the problem. The H.323 gatekeeper is still disabled! Thank you for all the help.
It is fixed. First of all I would like to thank RM for trying to help. However, installing new updates and stuff did not fix the problem. I finally figured out why the gatekeeper service is disabled and would like to share it with everyone. If you are running ISA on a 2003 server and you install 2003 SP1 you're H.323 is history. I removed SP1 and voila...I have worked with ISA 2000 for at least 3 years and was very close to reinstalling the OS and ISA but since 2K3 SP was one of the many changes I made. I had to give it a try and removing it. So here you go people ISA and 2K3 don't go together when it comes to H.323 protocol.

this is easily fixed, as I've done on a SBS2003 with SP1 and ISA2000:
Use the component services administrative tool, drill down until you get to DCOM config, then locate the GateKeeper H.323 entry.
Double-click it, switch to the security tab, then for each of the three sections, choose custom security, then add "Enterprise Admins" to the lists of allowed identities and with all permissions enabled.
