Hi

I think it would be nice if one could block on application aswell. Shouldn't be to be too diffucult to add this as it is logging all the applications in the log file.

Just to application rules.

It will be an very effective option. You can block any application like kazaa and others [Razz]

MAC address allow/deny option will also be an powerfull option if added.

Hey guys,

You can do that now with the mspclnt.ini file and the Firewall client. However, if the user changes the name of the .exe, then it won't work. The ideal solution is an application filter for the offending applications, but would in a way similar to an antivirus app.

HTH,
Tom

Hello Tom,

Yes, I am aware [Cool] of FWC Apps setting, but it never worked form [Frown] , like if I want to block kazaa, msn messenger from there .exe name like kazaa.exe or msmsgs.exe and set it value to disable=1, and update mspclnt to all clients, but these applications still works without any interruption [Mad] . I wonder if this option really works. Any one have any experience about this option validity? [Confused]
