SKruese -> Allow ISA to transport client certificates (12.Feb.2003 11:20:00 AM)

It would be nice if ISA could transport client certificates in a SSL bridging scenario. In this way the front-end ISA doesn't need a AD connection, only the backend ISA or IIS. In a SSL tunneling situation this already works, but then the front-end ISA adds no extra security proposed to direct connection to IIS.

Hi,

Just to make it clear. I mean client certificates from real users with browsers or tokens/smart cards. Not the client certificate that you install in the web proxy certificate store to "authenticate" to the backend ISA or IIS and that must be mapped to one account in the AD or IIS.

Hi Sander,

How you checked out SecureID? I don't know a whole lot about it, but I believe this isn't dependent on AD.
