My apologies if anybody else first posted here, searched but didn't find anything...

What I mean with "More granular alerts" ? Let's take IDS alerts... I would find interesting to also know the port scanned or probed. It might be useful in finding out what your vulnerable ports might be and monitor those closer.

I think I saw some VB scripts which do the trick (can't remember where "[Frown]"

), scripts triggered by the alert itself, but I might be wrong and my memory's playing tricks with me...
