Some days ago i faced two problems, dont know if 2004 is supports it, but i think it don't. lets say i have 2 modems on isa server with diffrent service providers, there must be a way to combine their bandwidth into one stream. i am not talking about multilink as it uses one username password.

second is there must be a way, lets say i run cableNet business in my area and i purchased 256k dsl with 12gb a month limit. but i found that some users havily downloaded. and my bandwidth was finished in weeks. how can i allocate bandwidth among all my users, that each have lets say one GB permonth

thanks

bandwidth limit has been removed from 2004
you have 2 choices, either use a 3rd party software like rainconnect or rainwall or put a hardware device that does this for you. I am using this [Big Grin] http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?grid=34&scid=29&prid=589

It's true that you can't control the bandwidth from by using ISA2004. You can put a hardware device from Planet. Bandwidth Manager. (I've deployed) or If you can mnager another ISA server then dedicate this server for downloading and other for web surfing only.

Both works very fine.

I just checked out the linksys link (thanks for posting it), but I'm not seeing how this router allows one to limit bandwidth per client. Am I missing something?

Tangentially, I'm looking for a software/hardware that would allow me to limit bandwidth from my network to a given remote client or remote network on a per port basis in terms of kbps, not aggregrate usage per month. Any ideas on this? Can ISA Server do this?

Good day,

You can use a product like Digirain to control bandwidth.

i have 1 question:

i have RV016 of linksys, that's can control bandwidth, but if i use this router for limit bandwidth. i have some problem below:

LAN - Router (limit bandwidth) - Firewall ISA

LAN: 192.168.1.0/24
Router: 192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.10.0/24
Firewall ISA: 192.168.10.0/24 and ip outsite

So i would like to control traffic in LAN, but different network, can I use Firewall ISA to control LAN? could you please to show me best solutions?

thanks,
