I still can't get past my previous problems. I've followed the VPN kit instructions as well as the Publishing Walk-Through by MS with no luck.

The VPN connection hangs when the client attempts to connect. 2 NICs on the box: Internal NIC is on 10.0.0.x and external has public static IP.

I take a clean install of WinServer 2003 with no services installed (no DHCP, no DNS, no RRAS), join the domain, log in as local admin, install ISA2004 complete, Publish the VPN server, add VPN Clients to Internal rule, add Servers Talking together rule so ISA can talk to the 2 DCs, add RADIUS setttings (no message authenticator).

The VPN from the WinXP laptop works almost instantly if I'm on the 10.0.0.x network and 'registers the computer on the network' but hangs at the 'PPTP Connection Initialized' log line.

I'm stumped... I'm not even to the point of doing client firewall installations yet...

Hi Al, I mean Ron, I mean Rob! [Big Grin]

How are you assigning addresses to the VPN clients? DHCP or static address pool?

If you back up your configuration and mail it to me at tshinder@isaserver.org, i'll replicate your config in my lab and see what the deal is. Make sure to include the actual IP addressing information on the Internal and external interfaces so that I can make those settings too.

HTH,
Tom
