We're upgrading to 2003 AD and during that process we'd like to upgrade our existing single 2000 ISA Standard server to two 2004 Enterprise servers.

Is it possible to use only the caching feature and still publish OWA? I'm guessing we'd still have to run it in integrated mode.

On a related topic -
I'm just starting to look at the documentation and the migration guide didn't look too promising. Especially considering it said the tool would not migrate any access policy elements (if we were to keep them on ISA). "[Confused]"

We could do an in place upgrade, but I'm still trying to figure out the details...

Any pointers would be helpful!

Hi Angie,

The ISA firewall is a pivotal piece of network security gear, and isn't something that I would trust to networking guys who's job is moving bits, not securing them. They think in terms of "opening ports", while the ISA firewall thinks in terms of allowing protocols and apps.

Make sure the ISA firewall has mutliple NICs and everything will work, and you'll have a more secure network.
