Hi All,

I am planning deployment of a back to back ISA configuration, I have the ISA server 2004 book by Tom (thanks Tom :-)) and have been reading many articles on the site over the past week. However i currently need to address the following

My plan is to have our IIS web server(member server) in the DMZ, however my concern is that the internal ISA server will need configuring to allow:-

1)Domain comms to take place between the server and servers on the local network(so i can use user/group permissions to limit site updates),
2)Local machines to update the web sites on the server by both of the following methods:
a)Using front page to publish updates,
b)Map a drive to the web server to update files that way.

Any pointers to articles which address these issues greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

Jon

Hi Jon,

It sounds like you want to allow CIFS/NetBIOS between the DMZ and the internal network(s). You can do that, either via Access Rules or publishing rules, depending on your route relationship.

As for FrontPage, I need to figure this out. Its been on my list for several years [Smile]

Thanks!
Tom
