I am buying a new machine specifically for running ISA2004.

Can someone advise me as to which flavour of Windows 2003 I can use?

I was wondering if the Win2K3 Server - Web Edition is ok? If not will Win2K3 Server - Standard Ed be ok?

With regard Windows CALs I believe I am correct in thinking that I dont need to worry about that at all as the ISA licensing covers it with a simple "per processor" license model... Please confirm.

Many thanks

Matt

Hi Matt,

Can install servers on Web Ed.

Standard is OK.

No worries about CALs.

HTH,
Tom

I think Tom needs to take some of the money from his "per-word, per-page, or per-hour" jobs and buy a new keyoard. Obviously his 't keys as in can't are not working. [Razz]

You can not use web edition to load isa on. I have tryed to do it, firstly it will not allow you to install it. I have found a way to install it by bypassing, but in the end you will end up with headaches as it does not have all that is required. Server standard, enterprise will be fine. I'd go for standard [Smile]
