Not sure if this is the correct forum, so sorry if I am wrong.

I am trying to open a few ports withing ISA 2004 so my Vonage phone device can get out. Could someone point me in the right direction on how to do this?

Thanks in Advance

David

Hi David,

Welcome to ISAserver.org! First, we NEVER say "open ports" here, as its a meaningless team used by level 1 tech support and the clueless [Smile]

You can create access rules to allow the Vonage ports. I believe that Vonage requires secondary connections. If so, the Firewall client is required.

Here are the protocol definitions you'll need to create for your access rules:

Vonage UDP (5060) Send/Receive UDP 5060

Vonage UDP (5061) Send/Receive UDP 5061

Vonage UDP (5063) Send/Receive UDP 5063

Vonage UDP (5064) Send/Receive UDP 5064

Vonage UDP (10000) Send/Receive UDP 10000

Secondary Connections 10002 20000 UDP Send/Receive

Vonage UDP (10001) Send/Receive UDP 10001

Vonage UDP (10500) Send/Receive UDP 10500

HTH,
Tom

Hi David,

I posted a vb.script on this forum, for configuring ISA. Please search the form.

Dear Tom,

I typed in the ports by hand. I setup a computer in ISA (that is my Vonage PAP2 box) with IP address 192.168.40.123

This is what the log in saying, I can't understand why it is saying denied on default rule....

192.168.40.123    IO6 -  UDP -      -    56136 0 0 0 0x0   0x0 0x0 Firewall 5/2/2006 8:27:27 PM 216.115.31.140 53 DNS Initiated Connection DNS OUT 192.168.40.123  Internal External - -
192.168.40.123    IO6 -  UDP -      -    27770 0 0 0 0xc004000d FWX_E_POLICY_RULES_DENIED  0x0 0x0 Firewall 5/2/2006 8:27:27 PM 216.115.23.75 123 NTP (UDP) Denied Connection Default rule 192.168.40.123  Internal External - -
192.168.40.123    IO6 -  UDP -      -    52479 0 0 0 0x0   0x0 0x0 Firewall 5/2/2006 8:27:27 PM 216.115.31.140 53 DNS Initiated Connection DNS OUT 192.168.40.123  Internal External - -
192.168.40.123    IO6 -  UDP -      -    10000 0 0 0 0xc004000d FWX_E_POLICY_RULES_DENIED  0x0 0x0 Firewall

So from 192.168.40.123 to External with the following:

Vonage UDP (5060) Send/Receive UDP 5060

Vonage UDP (5061) Send/Receive UDP 5061

Vonage UDP (5063) Send/Receive UDP 5063

Vonage UDP (5064) Send/Receive UDP 5064

Vonage UDP (10000) Send/Receive UDP 10000

Secondary Connections 10002 20000 UDP Send/Receive

Vonage UDP (10001) Send/Receive UDP 10001

Vonage UDP (10500) Send/Receive UDP 10500

What am I doing wrong????

I feel stuppid.

Greetings,

Wouter.

I think you forgot adding TCP for the RTP and SIP ports

I only see UDP in there
