Anyone know when it will be available to download from the Microsoft Volume Licensing Website or MSDN?

A quote from my MS Licensing specialist at a large reseller:

"From my understanding the Media will be available in Aug for this product."

No idea if he is correct, but...

The trial sofwtare can be downloaded and installed for 120 days, but I am not sure how upgrading from the trial to the final licensed version would work. Anyone know this by chance?

With ISA 2000 it was possible to change the trail to full by just entering a new key. I guess (hope) that this will also be the case using ISA 2004.

One note. You can create a backup and import that one. But this does NOT work for people who use Beta 2!

I got a RC yesterday so I installed that this morning. Had to redo my configuration (allthough this was not much). For the installation of the eval version I had to remove the RC again but I was able to restore the backup of the settings.

I guess I become an expert in installing ISA 2004 [Wink] .

Update:

Do not bother to try to import the settings. It will not work. It gave no error but when applying settings all got screwed up.

You will have to redo all from scratch

I think sometime in August is correct. No specific date though. I found this on the Volume Licensing Fulfillment site:

Hey guys,

You should be able to export your policies from the eval version right into the retail. I'll test this out today and let you know.

HTH,
Tom

OMG ISA 2004 Full Release Rocks so HARD !

They totally fixed the UI performance lag, and the fw performs so nicely. I love that all the bugs that annoyed me are gone. I did have to rebuild all my rules from scratch but it allowed me to secure things much tighter this time around.
