Still a newbie to ISA Server 2004, I am trying to allow myself Internet access. I set up everything as described in the manual from Microsoft, and it all seems pretty straight forward to me. After creating the Access rule, Internet is accessible, but just not all the time. Now and then the connection times out. When I disable the proxy server in the Internet Explorer, I have access again (I wonder how though), but then I can't access pages over SSL, even though I also allowed HTTPS traffic.
I simply have no idea where to look, since it works now and then, and then it doesn't. Anybody an idea?
I'm running ISA 2004 on Windows 2000 Server. My connection to the Internet is somewhat ... amateuristic: I use a Speedtouch USB ADSL modem. I'm sure though that it does not contain a firewall, since I have been using it without ISA for years without any problems. After I can't use the proxy anymore to Internet, I am still having connection without using the proxy; I can see that f.i. because my Bittorrents are still running.
