Status: offline 		Welcome to the new migrated forums. We hope that you will enjoy all the improvements. Here is the list of some of them: 

  • Member tags
  • Subscribe to threads - email notifications when someone replied to a thread
  • Subscribe to Forums - email notifications when a new thread is created
  • Enhanced search functions - search by terms and author, more specified search, in subject, body, replies, choose number of results, etc
  • Enhanced Personal profile - add ICQ, AIM details. Have more options on how to view forum
  • Posting - different views, tree style or flat
  • Member list - quickly find any member
  • Forwarding posts to any email address


We are awaiting your feedback about the upgrade as well as possible suggestions of further improvements.

Why use fixed width on page?
Actually getting used to the fixed page.... ;o)

But is not there as many customizeable forum views as before?

Barbara's post above is actually notifying the members of the migration which we made earlier this year from the old forum platform to the new one which we use today. It is a bit outdated now since we have been using ASPlayground.Net for quite a while now.

it was the fastest way to always check tom's news and articles.

Status: offline 		We removed items from the menu in order to streamline access to content to the visitors. Seeing that Tom is the main author on the site all you have to do is look at the homepage to have quick access to his latest articles and news.

Also, you mean you are not using the RSS feeds?

The Shinder section was a link to Tom's author page which can easily be accessed from  the left hand menu or by clicking on Authors on the top or bottom menus.

As the site expands to include new content and content sections we will have to put additional links into the top and bottom menus.

Yes, but the GUI changed 2.Oct.2006.
And I did not se any message about that...
