I can't use the remote logging option on a XP box to do a query on my ISA logs. The following error pops up when i try to do a query.
The following is the situation.
1. Stand alone ISA not in the domain 2. XP box with ISA MMC in a domain 3. Added user/pass to the accounts on the ISA 4. Tryed to log on as a administrator, but same error 5. XP box is added tot the system policy remote managemt comps and remote logging / MMC is enabled 6. Added the user account on the Administration Delegation
The ISA firewall should be a domain member, unless you're using it as a front end ISA firewall in a back to back firewall configuration, or if you're using it only for publishing rules or VPN server/gateway.
Get that fixed, and rest will likely take care of itself.
The ISA is my edge firewall / router and am using it only for publishing internal recources. I didn't join the ISA to the domain becouse i thought it would be a security risk. Should i join the ISA box to the internal domain, or is there a other solution so i can let it be a stand alone server and i can use the logging option from a internal domain client?
