Running SBS2003 SP1 on serverX sql2000/win2003 on SERVERY and a java application on an XP workstation that works with a LINUX server for the storage of scanned documents, the application also searches a SQL database on SERVERY. There are 2 LAN's - a 10.0.0.X and a 172.X.X.X All servers are on the 10.0.0.X LAN. When a user on the 10.0.0.0 accesses the java application on the XP workstation everything works just fine. When the users on the 172 access the application it begins to work but connection for ports 5432 and 1031 are not being allowed. They are initiated, and then closed. Connections through port 80 are initiated, allowed, and closed. These ports are for the Linux server. Is ISA blocking these ports between internal networks? The 172 clients have no problem accessing exchange, or the the SQL database through other applications. All help is greatly appreciated - as us your patience.
