Hello !
I using wget  and wput to download/upload files from FTP.
I connection to FTP through ISA Server 2004.
wget  work fine and i can download files from ftp.
When i try using wput, upload files completes with error. wput shows error, that cannot connect to host.
ISA writes to log error message with code 0x80074E25 (MSDN description: connection was terminated because it was idle for more than the timeout period, or the timeout on an incompleted action expired).
When i using wput on machine, that connected to internet directly (without ISA), wput works fine.
When i using other FTP clients, such as FAR, Total Commander through ISA - all work fine.
How can i fix this error ?

Sounds like a WPUT problem, not an ISA problem.  Did you take a network trace to see where it is falling down?

Hi eventviewer,

The default FTP protocol settings is read onlyf. You probably made an Access Rule that allows FTP or all outbound access tot the External network. Even if you allow everything, the default FTP protocol settings are read only. You must change this setting.
  • Select the propterties for the Access Rule from where you access the FTP connection.
  • Select the protocol tab
  • Press Filtering > Configure FTP
  • Uncheck "Read Only"

Good luck!

Well... he did say:

So unless they are getting out on a different rule, it blows away the read-only theory.
