Hello, trying to install SurfControl on the ISA 2004 server, and I need to point it to a SQL server for an existing database.

I can't even use SQL manager to connect to our SQL server to check connectivity.  Im guessing this is some kind of firewall issue, or firewall policy.

Anyone have any idea?  Both server are specified in my internal network list.

Thanks!

Create a Firewall Policy Access Rule to Allow Microsoft SQL (TCP) and Microsoft SQL (UDP) from Local Host to the internal SQL Server. Create a "Computer" object for this SQL Server and include this in the Destination option.

This is assuming that SurefControl uses Winsock to connect to the SQL Server - I've never used it so I don't know. If it is using Named Pipes, then you'll need to create a rule to allow NetBIOS Session.
