At the office behind the ISA 2004 firewall, I can access external pop3 accounts and retrieve email.

At home using PPTP or IPSEC VPN connection (using default gateway on remote network), I get a message when testing the same pop3 account:
Send test email and log into incoming mail server(pop3): The specified server was found, but there was no response. Find incoming mail server(pop3) and Find outgoing mail server(SMTP): Outlook could not connect to incoming/outgoing mail.

What am I missing? (I need to use default gateway on remote network to route through another site to site VPN)
