Hi.

With the old 2000 FW client it was easy to do an "update" of the FW client config, and would take 6 hours manually. WHat's the state of play with the 2004 client?...

1. How long does it take to update manually
2. How can I force a manual update?

Not sure if this is related to your other topic on WPAD.

but the answer lies in the link that Stefaan gave you.

If you look at the HTTP headers in the HTTP response, you will see a parameter Cache-Control as highlighted in the figure above. The value of this parameter is max-age=0 what means that the downloaded wspad.dat file should never be cached by the client. However, if you look somewhat further down into the wspad.dat file then you should see in the [Common] section a parameter Configuration Refresh Time. This parameter tells the Firewall client to reload the wspad.dat file every 6 hours from the ISA server. Of course you can enforce an immediate configuration refresh by clicking the Detect Now button in the Firewall client (General tab).

I'm not using auto-dtect - I'm using MANUAL. If I press "Test Server" does that also update the FW client?
