kiekar -> Deleting a URL object from cache (19.Jan.2006 12:54:22 PM)

Hello,

I would like to delete a single url object from the isa cache.
After doing some searching I came across information regarding
a vb script “DeleteUrl” and “FetchUrl Method”. The
DeleteUrl script came with isa 2000 cd. Can this script be used
On isa 2004 and how can I get this script?

Thanks

Karl

Unless you need a 'programmable' interface, use the CACHEDIR utility.

CacheDir Tool for Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=88117626-D72C-4CC8-A15F-C1FBDBCFF688&displaylang=en

The only script for cache manipulation I've seen for ISA 2004, deletes all contents from the cache, not single entries.

Deleting Cache Contents
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/isa/2004/plan/deletecachecontents.mspx

This, unfortunately, deletes everything and restarts the firewall service.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply. I've used the the Cachedir utility already which
works very well. I thought maybe I could use the script that would
delete a single url from cache.

Thanks

Karl
