I'm currently running two ISA servers one is our old ISA 2000 server (WPAD is currently pointing here) and our new ISA 2004 server. I am currently my own guinea pig having uninstalled the old 2000 Firewall Client and having installed the new 2004 Firewall Client. I manually configured my 2004 client to point at our new 2004 server. Here is my issue, when I click on the "Test Server" button I receive:
Firewall Client tested the following server: ISA 2004 Server
Actual ISA Server returned by the test server: ISA 2000 Server
I noticed this while checking my source IP on whatsmyip.com, the website was returning the external IP address of the 2000 server, even though the client says its "Connected to ISA Server ISA 2004". If I plug in the 2004 server into Internet Explorer Proxy Setting, I can ride the 2004 server no problem, my only issue is with the Firewall Client. Is this a result of the WPAD entry or is it something else? Why would the 2004 server return the 2000 server? Any help or insight would be -greatly- appreciated.
Ok, I figured this out, because of the import of ISA 2000 setting, the listener on ISA 2004 was still pointing at the ISA 2000 server. Now I have another issue, while using the Firewall Client pointed at ISA 2004, when I go to whatismyip.com I still get back the IP address of the ISA 2000 server. I do not have proxy enabled. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
