steavg -> ISA 2004 SP2 and Wolverine (ISA 2006) (20.Jan.2006 8:30:24 AM)

Hi,

Found this post this morning:

"SP2 for ISA2004 is due to launch late next week.

Besides some bug fixes, it will contain new features for branch office deployments including:
- caching of BITS traffic
- HTTP compression
- HTTP QoS
- Setting of DIFSERV options

Wolverine (ISA 2006) is planned to RTM late July/August. No feature set publicly available yet. Currently the product is not yet ready for Beta testing. The Beta should start in March."

Anybody some more details ?

Greetings,

Stefan

Hi Stefan,

the only thing I can confirm is that the FTP problem I mentioned in http://forums.isaserver.org/m_250046300/tm.htm is indeed solved in the  ISA 2004 SP2 Release Candidate. [8D]

HTH,
Stefaan

elmajdal -> RE: ISA 2004 SP2 and Wolverine (ISA 2006) (20.Jan.2006 11:08:37 PM)

for ISA 2004 SP2 ok i can understand it .

but for ISA 2006 !! we didnt get the time to fed up with ISA 2004.

we were fed up with ISA 2000 for using it for more than 3 years , then came ISA 2004 since one year,

is it a policy that microsoft feel it needs to give a new Version after the release of SP2 [:)]
this happened with ISA 2000 , there was no SP3.

If ISA 2006 is really going to be in the market on July 2006 !! microsoft in this is throwing ISA 2004 in the trash.

not all people yet had the chance to upgrade to ISA 2004 , so many people got intreduced to ISA with its 2004 version.

i wont mind ofcourse for upgrading to ISA 2006 , if its worth the upgrade.
we felt we need ISA 2004 cuz it was a big jump from ISA 2000.

Hi Tom,

i was asking myself this question since my last post in this thread, i wanted to ask you if their will be a Forum for ISA 2006 or you would prefer waiting for the official release.

It would be great having one with the Beta .

Thanks anyway
