Yes Tom, They can browse from internal using NetBIOS or FQDN such as http://mailserver:3006 or http://mailserver.mydomain.com:3006. At external network, we can't used FQDN because domain name registration fees is too expensive in our country. Thats why we are using IP address. Mike

Hi Hanta, The problem at this point is that I don't understand your design requirements and limitations. If you can't use FQDN's, then this is like a SOHO operation and I don't understand how the company allocated money to buy the ISA firewall software but won't pay for a FQDN. Tom

dear tom, in our country, one domain name cost 120$ per year for annual fees, 10$ per month for domain name using fee, 100$ per year for domain activation fee & registeration fee is 120$ per month. but we can used this domain name for only email domain. if we want to web hosting using this name, we need other additional charges paid to our isp, also we get only 20mb for web hosting. other additioanl features didn't allow. if we want to host the our co-operate web mail service to our office mobile user using fqdn, we need to submit our co-operate mail server to their (our isp) office. Its charges is 3000$ per month. how can we spend so money on only this features? thats why we are publishing using ip address for our web mail server for domestic used (within country). in most case, i can successfully publish my mail server to our country domestic network. but i can't publish my web mail using isa web publishing. also i can't understand all of my request are forward to reverse proxy mode. let me know only hints or somethings for me. mike

I have a mailserver on the internal network that uses mdaemon's worldclient to provide web access to mail on port 3000. I configured a web server publishin rule on isa 2004 with a listener on port 80 and redirecting to port 3000. When i type in the fqdn on the internal network it gives me error 10061

dear tom, how about of my problem (reverse proxy)? please solve my problem if you have a free time. by the way, i got the "Error Code: 502 Proxy Error. The ISA Server denied the specified Uniform Resource Locator (URL). (12202)", when i browser my mail server using fqdn. My ISA Server didn't request authentication when i browse my mail server. Normally i was setting up my isa server for request authentication all of outgoing request. but i wasn't understand why my isa server didn't request authenticatin when i type fqdn of my internal mail server. which my installation setting was wrong? so, i think this problem is also related with my web mail publishing problem (reverse proxy). thanks for read my post. mike

Also, can you provide exact details of the rule, including actual names on the To and Public Name tabs? Thanks! Tom

We will need exact information about your Web Publishing rule to figure this out. HTH, Tom
