Is it possible to use SQL Express 2005 with ISA 2K4?

Sometimes(every other day) i get : "Firewall Service failed due to a shortage of memory",
a known problem described in:

My MSDE eats about 1,5GB RAM on the ISA machine, the rest of the services another 400MB.
However there are 3 GB of RAM installed.
Will SQL Express help my problem(if it is compatible with ISA 2K4)
Thank u in advance, Micke

MSDE if left unchecked, may consume 2 gig.  There are many posts here describing commands and/or scripts that will limit how much MSDE uses.  There is also the one MS suggests.

Also, ISTR that there is a /3GB switch for the boot.ini but don't remember the particulars.  You might want to search TechNet.

The School of Hard Knocks is a mean teacher. She gives the exam before the lesson.

Just to bring this topic back up to the top:

Can SQL Express 2005 be used for ISA 2004?

I would like to try it out see if using SQL Express 2005 might get rid of the huge performance problem when trying to log to MSDE.
