Hi -
1. I'm going to implement ISA 2004 std. in an 1 GB fiber network, do you have any recommendation for the Hardware, normal traffic, web, ftp, smtp, and can ISA 2004 cope with 1 GB fiber network

2.  Does ISA 2004 support Voip, Video conferencing in a routed mode ?
- thanks Cecilie

Hi Cecilie,

1. At least a dual proc box, or better a NIC that offloads the TCP/IP calcs away from the proc

2. Not sure what you mean by "routed mode".

Thanks!
Tom

Thanks for you reply Tom. By routed mode I ment that ISA will be put in an public IP network with routing (not NAT)
What is best: 2 proc or as you mention NIC offloading TCP/IP cals ?
The company has 6 VLAN terminated in an cisco fiber switch and ISA 2004 will be implemented in front of that, how can I configure the ISA server to support the separate VLAN and filter them ? Cecilie

I don't think we have the entire picture.  The ISA will be connected to a LAN with a Gigabit backbone, but what will the Internet connection be?  Will it be the device connected to the Internet?

Shouldn't we also be asking how many users?
What kind of services are you publishing?

etc?

Like poiuy mentioned we don't have the entire picture.
