I have an easy setup- ISA/firewall server, linux fileserver, xp printserver and 20 xp clients- all with wfwc. I need to configure ISA to stop/block specific xyz.exe programs from accessing external (internet). This should be a simple solution! I want to target only the application name and extension- ie.. "simpsons.exe" - shouldn't be that hard. Anyone have any suggestions.

You could use the firewall client to do this are described here:

http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/How_to_Block_Dangerous_Instant_Messengers_Using_ISA_Server.html

The article is for ISA2k, but the theory is valid for ISA2k4.

Cheers

thanks a lot- works great- very easy to configure! I also used firewall policy>protocols>filtering http>signatures>and added xyz with xyz signature----to block http request to xyz!
Works like a charm!
