Hi!

We have a problem with our new ISA Server 2004. It's behavior is very strange, so i hope you could help. Here are the facts:

  • HP Appilance (DL320)
  • ISA Server 2004 Standard Edition (Service Pack 2)
  • Virus Throttle disabled
  • Browsing works good
  • Firewall Client is rolled out
The problem is, that no download could get done. I searched the forum, there are other problems, that doesn't match here. We get the save as screen, the download begins with a good performance (>600kb) and slows down to 25byte. This problem exists on serveral websites like ibm, microsoft, oracle, cisco. So this websites have regularly good performances. We also have our old ISA 2000 Server working, which expiriences no problem (same switch, same firewall settings).

So i hope you can help us to get it work. Thank you.

Is HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections enabled on the Web proxy clients?

Hi!

Yes, this option is enabled in the Internet Explorer settings. We also tested with Firefox & Opera, but has the same effect.

Hi Sven,

Try enabling Path MTU discovery on the ISA firewall.
