My boss recently told me to setup an ISA 2004 server after he decided to switch from our ISA 2000. He had a ruleset ready and all that and handed me the administration and whatnot. The only problem is that this is new territory for me. So please bear with my noobiness :)

We had two websites running on one server in the same DMZ as the ISA. (accessed from the internal network) One responding to webgate.domain.com on port 80 and one to webmail.domain.com on port 8000. The ISA 2000 he set up handled it by dropping the requests to webmail.domain.com/webgate.domain.com and then forwarding them to the correct port Nr.

Now ever since I tried to configure a similar setup on the ISA 2004, things go wrong.

Either both requests are forwarded to the webmail.domain.com site or only one of them works. I can't seem to be able to get them both running as he wants it.

I tried two simple rules first:
Deny and redirect to http://webmail.domain.com:8000
Selected Protocol HTTP
From All Networks (just testing now to get this to work)
To the URL Set webmail.domain.com
All Users
Content Types would be HTML

And the same for the other site, only with port 80

That's about what he copied from the old ISA 2000. I tried toying with the settings... tried creating publish rules and whatnot, but none of it worked.

Anybody able to give me a pointer into the right direction?

Hi Sadja,

Something definitely isn't making sense here.

Can you provide the exact configuration of your Web Publishing Rules?

Thanks!
Tomq
