mikemack -> New HP ISA 2004 SP2 server not allowing web access (7.Apr.2006 6:13:11 PM)

Just purchased a new HP built ISA \ VPN \ Firewall server to replace an old NT server running Proxy 4.0.

The new ISA server will sit behind our PIX 515e and will use just the one NIC to manage outgoing http connections. The PIX is
configured to deny all http traffic unless it comes from the ISA or the Proxy.

I have not removed the old Proxy yet as I am still configuring the new ISA box. I can get to the web through the old Proxy but am unable to do the same with the new ISA.

I have created an access rule to allow all internal to access external but still no luck. I know I must be missing something small.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help...

If you are running a single NIC implementation, would the rule not have to be internal-to-internal?

The gateway is defined on the ISA server as the PIX so I assumed that it would forward all http traffic to that address.

As a test I altered the access rule to route internal to internal and it had no affect.

This server was bought from HP preloaded with Server 2003 std and ISA 2004 with HP's "hardening" methods. I was
under the belief that all I would have to do is give it an IP, config my PIX to accept traffic from it and away we go. '

I just know it is something minor that I am overlooking.

Thanks for the suggestion.
