I have an HTTP policy rule defined for outbound web traffic that does a signature search in the response body for “http://collect.myspace.com/misc/about.html”. I use this to block myspace.com even if language translators are used to bypass the usually blocks. This works, but I’ve noticed that a lot of Java, not JavaScript, sites fail to load. Actually, no matter what I put in the signature field or what I put for the byte range, those Java sites don’t work. If I disable that particular signature rule, those Java sites do work. Could this be a bug in ISA Server?
We've just had ISA2004 installed a few days ago and this is one of the problems we are now facing - it seems to be stopping Java from running on our webmail system in particular. Normally we would see the (java based) Inbox full of emails, recently however, we've been getting blank spaces. If we run the non-java based version everything is fine. I'm still looking at the issue and have a couple of leads to try but if anyone has any suggestions it'd be appreciated.
I have opened http and https but the firewall keeps blocking apps that use Java such as PowerChute which uses Java.exe and Java.awt to authenticate to the UPS when setting up the app on the IAS server. Is there a bug with IAS or is there something I need to configure. I can install the app from another server and if I stop the firewall service in IAS server 2004 I can install the app on the IAS server. Please can help......
