can this be done via rdp from external(untrusted network). (ms faq says its possible, says external rdp client is added to Remote Management Computers).

server has 2 nic's, rdp listens on internal, for install over rdp should it be listening on external card & change port forward on router.

Hi J,

Yes, this is possible. Just make sure you bind the RDP listener to the external interface before attempting this.

will try on test server first. its an odd scenario but does come up occasionly when boss doesn't want to fly me to branch offices.

Great! Remember that you configure the RDP listener in Terminal Services configuration first.
