The service will grow in memory size over time. It will share memory with other applications so it should be nothing to worry about. Occassionally I have had a SBS server where the ISA service didn't not share memory well. In those cases you can limit the amount of ram allocated to ISA.

well i don't think its normal for a firewall to go up to 1 gig of ram right after the server restarts

Yes, I have the same problem. And when I upgraded RAM from 1G to 2G, memory usage of wspsrv.exe service also doubled ! :-(
How can I stop it ? Anyone ? Please help...

There's really no need to stop it. The whole point is that it will take all available ram and then give it up to other applications as needed. It behaves in much the same way as the store.exe service.

The service is an MSDE database. You can control the amount of memory it uses if you really, really want to. But its not recommended. If the service dies because of ram starvation, then the firewall service will fail and ISA will go into lockdown mode. So be careful. Consult www.smallbizserver.net the solution is posted there.
