Hi,
I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to allow remote computer to connect to my Diablo 2 game (i.e. Im hosting through "other multiplayer" using TCP/IP and not using battlenet) threw my ISA 2004 firewall. My understanding is that all i need to do is tell ISA to listen for requests on the correct ports (i think 4000 and 6112) and then forward any requests to my computer but I cant for the life of me figure out how to do it.

Is anyone able to shed some light on this matter for me?

Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,

I got it to work by doing the following however, I have only tried it with one person connecting so let me know if it works fully.

I created protocols for the following

TCP Outbound
Ports 4000 and 6112

TCP Inbound
Ports 4000 and 6112

UDP Receive Send
Ports 4000 and 6112

UDP Send Receive
Ports 4000 and 6112

Then I Remote and Server Bind TCP ports 4000 and 6112 in the client firewall settings

Created Rules to allow traffic from External to Local Host on TCP Outbound and on UDP Send Receive ports

Created Rules to allow traffic from Internal to External on all Protocols created (this probably isn’t necessary but this is what is working for me at the moment)

Finally I created 2 new Server Publishing Rules to forward the inbound TCP and UDP ports to the desired computer.

Hope it works for you too.

i figured as much, I was just a little confused because on windows computers when you host a game it tells you your IP so you can send it to other players.
