I am newbie to ISA 2004. I am part of a large AD forrest.  I am trying to access a up stream web server and can not get a responds on the server ( web pages or pinging).  I have my client using ISA 2004 as default gateway (10.169.x.7).  Everything work great until they try to access a intranet site on a different part of the forrest (10.83.x.x).  I am moving from a ISA 2000 server for gatesway to ISA 2004.  When I use the ISA 2000 gateway (10.169.x.1) in my DCHP scope the clients can access the upstream web server.  When I change the default gateway to the ISa 2004 (10.169.x.7) it fails to access the site. I have verified my 2 nic card that the internal card is first on Advance Settings on theNetwork Properties.  The internal Nic is using 2 local DNS servers. No gateway on internal Nic.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks for your help (ahead of time)

What port is the traffic from the web server coming from? Are you telling it the port in the address when you try to access it. Such as 182.XX.X.1:3456
Try installing ISA client on a client workstation and test from there, b/c you need the client for most non HTTP traffic. There are differences between ISA 2000 and 2004 which could be the reason for your issue, ISA 2004 is more locked down out of the box.
