Logging Options - 31.Aug.2006 3:27:04 PM

I'm looking for any guidance on selecting logging options for a ISA 2006 EE deployment.  I will have a total of 4 outbound proxy servers, serving around 10,000 users.  Our internal I/T security group will be interested in looking at historical data from users.  I'm trying to find out how much historical data they want to keep.  My first inclination is that using SQL storage is the best choice.  The first question I will get from our DBA is how big the databases will get.  Are there any sizing tools that would help determine this?

Thanks in advance...

Hi Red,

A critical consideration is that the ISA Firewall array be deployed as inline devices. Just think about it, if you were to use "hork mode" its a simple affair to bypass the Firewall array. It's a critical security consideration that is often ignored when the "network guys" who grandfathered into what they think are "network security guys" forget.

SQL logging look at 2-10GB/day.
